J: I've been patronising this chicken rice stall for years since my temporary job at iras. It used to cost $3.50 a plate and now its $4.80! Power of inflation huh? *faint* Wee Nam Kee was always very crowded during lunch time and even till now, business is still as brisk. If I were to choose a roasted chicken rice stall, Wee Nam Kee is the place.
We dropped by this place since we were in the vicinity. Luckily we didn't have to wait too long for seats since we had a slightly late lunch. As usual, the portion of roasted chicken thigh was really huge. It seemed like twice the size of a normal chicken lol. Their roasted chicken thigh never fail to disappoint us. The chicken was perfectly roasted till the skin is crispy. The meat is very tender and juicy but not too oily. We also love the soy sauce that they used which complemented really well with the chicken rice. However, the chicken rice fell short of its usual standard that day. It was rather hard and dry. But we managed to polish it off our plates anyway haha.
