During this short hiatus from food blogging, the sisters have been thinking a lot. When we started this blog 6 months ago, it brought us so much happiness and joy as we went around hunting for the best food in town. But as time goes by, we faced challenges, challenges that we never imagine before.
Sometimes we wondered,
Do we eat to blog or do we blog to eat?
What is the main purpose of the blog? Taking nice photos or the food?
Looking at food that had already turned cold, sometimes we can’t help but feel that there is no enjoyment in eating anymore.
It is not easy to maintain a blog, let alone a food blog.
Whether a blog is managed by one person or more, you will face the same challenge as we do. No doubt everybody started off with their passion for food. But blogging is not just about passion, it is about commitment.
To all the food bloggers-to-be or current floggers, do you have what it takes to keep it in the long run?
It takes lot of effort and time in maintaining a food blog. It may strain you financially or even physically. At some point of time, you may even find it strenuous to carry on.
I guessed many of you are curious. “Did something go wrong between the sisters?”
No. We are still the closest sisters ever. In fact, it was this blog that brought us closer than before. However, when one finds it a struggle to carry on with the blog, it is best to let it go and take a break.
We thank each and everyone of you who stayed with us during our short flogging journey, and we certainly hope that you will continue rewarding your tastebuds with wonderful food like we do :)
